What Types of Information We Collect

We may share with our provider partner any information you provide, or that is collected, in the course of visiting any pages that are made available in cooperation with our provider partner. In some cases, the provider partner may collect information from you directly, in which cases the privacy policy of our provider partner may apply to the provider partner's use of your information. Information You Post to Discussion Forums, Groups or Other Community Posting or Social Networking Areas on Our Site, or Disclose in Your Public Profile

Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily make your personal information or other private information available for viewing by other users or third parties online - for example in your public profile or in discussion forums, groups or other community posting or social networking areas of our Site - that information can be seen, collected and used by others besides us. We cannot be responsible for any unauthorized third-party use of such information.

The general discussion forums that are available on our Site (under the “Discussions” tab) are public – anyone can participate, post and read others’ postings. The “groups” on our Site (each of which includes a discussion form area, a photo gallery and an events calendar) are created by other registered users and may be either public or private. Public groups are visible to all users of the Site, and any registered user of the Site can join. Private groups are hidden from the general users of the Site and will not appear in search results – only users that are invited to participate by the group’s creator, and our Site administrators, can participate, post and read other group members’ postings in a private group.

We also may allow advertisers to create discussion groups relating to their brands or products so that users who are interested in those brands or products can benefit from the information the advertisers post to the group and can participate in discussions with other users who are interested in the same brands or products. Advertisers may post product information to these groups, post information about exclusive savings and offers, or simply solicit customer feedback. If you choose to become a member of an advertiser-created group, that advertiser will have access to all of the information you post to the group, and will be able to see your activities within the group and how you use and interact with the group. Also, if the advertiser operates similar discussion groups on other websites, you may have the option of sharing your group postings with members of those other discussion groups.

Your postings will not be shared with those other discussion groups or websites unless you affirmatively opt to have your posting shared. If you choose to share a posting in this manner, your posting will appear in the original discussion group to which you are posting it (i.e., the advertiser discussion group on our Site), and also will appear in the other third-party discussion groups for that advertiser that you have selected for sharing. The posting will be displayed in those other discussion groups as if you posted it to that group or website originally and will identify you by the same username or other identification associated with your original posting. By the same token, the advertiser-created discussion groups on our Site may from time to time contain postings that have been posted to those groups by members of similar discussion groups on third-party websites.

Our site also may employ a sharing or recommending feature that allows you to share your photos, calendar entries, discussion forum and group postings, profile information and other materials that you post to the Site with the Site users and groups of your choosing. You also can use these features to move postings, photos or calendar items from one group to another. If you choose to share a photo, posting or other item using these features, your posting will appear in the original discussion forum or group to which you are posting it, and also will appear in the other discussion forums or groups that you have selected for sharing. The posting will be displayed in those other discussion forums and groups as if you posted it to that forum or group originally.

When you upload photos or other materials, post calendar entries, or post messages to discussion forums or groups, you also will have the option of sharing those postings and materials with people outside of our Site (i.e., friends of yours who may not be Site members), and you may designate such items as being “shareable” by other Site users. If you designate such items as being “shareable” by other Site users, those users can in turn distribute or share your items to their own friends and groups within our Site, and/or with persons outside of our Site. Even if you do not designate such items as being “shareable,” other users can “cut” or “copy” or utilize other means to use your items.

Data Collected in Connection with Ad Serving and Targeting

We may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies, and/or a third-party ad serving software, to collect non-personally identifiable information about Site users and Site activity, and we may use this information to, among other things, serve targeted advertisements on this Site. The information collected allows us to analyze how visitors and registered users use the Site and to track user interests, trends and patterns, thus allowing us to deliver more relevant advertisements to users. For example, by analyzing which keywords and brand names are frequently used in discussion forums and groups on the Site, we can deliver advertisements in connection with those discussion forums or groups that are related to those keywords and/or brand names.
