A. Joining the Ripple6 Community is fast, easy, and free! You’ll need to become a member in order to participate and connect with other members on the site. Just click the Join Now button, fill out the new member registration form, click the Join Now! button, and you’re in!
A. As soon as you register for the site, an email with your member name and password will automatically be sent to your email address. Please hold onto to it for future reference.
If you forget your password, click Login in the upper-right corner, then click the forgot your password? link and a new password will be emailed to you.
If you forget your member name, click the Help button in the upper-right corner and email your question to our Support Team and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Once you’ve registered, you’re ready to set up your personalized profile. (This is important because we use this information to recommend groups you'll probably be interested in joining first.)
There are 3 ways to connect with other members on our site: becoming a part of a group, adding friends to your personal network, and sending private messages.
Create or Join a Group. Creating or joining public or private groups will allow you to connect with other members who share your interests.
Send Friend Requests. You can send friend requests to other members to add them to your personal network. They will then need to confirm you as a friend.
Send Private Messages. You can also send private emails to your friends, or to members of groups you belong to. Once you've logged in, a link to your email box will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the site.
Log in and click the My Stuff link at the top of to quickly access the groups you've created or joined, see all your friends, send and read your private messages, and more.
A. Click on the Groups at the top of the site to see featured, most active, and new groups. You can also browse groups by category in the lower left-hand column. Then just click the Group’s title to go to that group and click the Join this group link to get started.
A. Joining groups is a great way to meet other members who share similar interests. As a member of a group, you can join discussions; take polls, share photos, and more.
A. To start your own group, just click Groups at the top of the site. Once you're on the Groups page, click Create Group and follow the group set-up instructions to take advantage of all the customizable options available to you as the group owner. After you've created a group, you can send invitations to your friends to join.
A. You can make any group on Ripple6 Community private. When you're creating a group, just select the button under Privacy Settings that says "private" to create a password. Once the group is created, you will be able to control who is able to view and access it.
The reason your posts don’t display under Today’s Buzz is because we believe you’re more interested in keeping up with your friends posts than seeing your own – and that your friends are more interested in keeping up with yours.
A: Click the Account Settings link under your member icon on the homepage. This takes you directly to the Edit Your Profile screen. Scroll down to the signature box where you can create a personalized signature. When you’re done creating it or making any changes to your profile, scroll down to the "Save" button to save your changes.
A: Signatures don't change retroactively, so your old posts will retain your old signature. However, if you choose to edit an old post, you can also edit the signature on that post. All new posts should have your new signature.
A. Just look for the “Questions & Answers” box on the right hand side of the homepage to view a question a member has asked. You can now choose to:
You can then access answers to all the questions you have asked by clicking on the Answers link in the main navigation.
A: You can share content you like on the site with your friends, both on and off the site. Just use the "Share" button located near each content item. Clicking on that button will allow you to share content with other groups within the site, with friends who are and aren’t members of the site, as well as across a number of social network sites.
A: When someone has shared content with you it will appear in your Notifications tab of your My Stuff area.
A: You have two choices: The site only keeps two weeks of notifications active for you, or you can wait for the site to remove it for you or you can either delete it right away by clicking upon the trash can icon next to the content item in your Notifications tab.
A. You can decide how you you’d like to receive email notifications from this site – or if you’d rather not receive them at all. Just click the Email Settings link in the upper-right corner of the site and then customize your email notifications for your private messages, replies to your posts, and to activity in the groups you’ve joined. Then click the Save button to save your settings.
A. Click on the My Invitations link on the homepage or the Invite Friends to join @Ripple6 link in the upper right-hand corner of the rest of the site to invite members to join your group or non-members to join the site.
Click on the My Invitations link on the homepage or the Invite Friends to join @Ripple6link in the upper right-hand corner of the rest of the site to invite members to join your network. We’ve created the guidelines below to make sure this community is as welcoming and enjoyable for our members as possible. If you have any questions about these guidelines, please and we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.
1. If our site or community managers believe you have violated our community guidelines or the spirit of this community in any way, we reserve the right to deactivate your member account without any prior notice to you.
2. If you believe any member’s content on this site has violated our community guidelines, please click the Report Abuse link next to it. Our Community Team members will review all reported items as soon as possible and will evaluate whether or not they violate our community policy. If you feel any member’s behavior on this site has violated our community guidelines, please .
If we believe any member has violated our community guidelines, we reserve the right to remove any member’s post of content, suspend or deactivate member accounts with or without prior warning or explanation to that member.
3. We expect members to always be respectful to other members. Of course it is OK to disagree with other members but please always do so with respect. Personal attacks or hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated.
4.No “spam,” unauthorized advertising, or promotional statements, are permitted in any area of this site or in private messages to our members with the exception of our sponsored advertising. We reserve the right to remove any message with promotional or advertising statements or links to other sites in it. We reserve the right to ban any user, at any time, without notice, for spamming or otherwise posting unwelcome messages our site.

A: If you feel you’ve been attacked or spammed by another member, please contact a member of the Community Team immediately via private message or click here to .
A: Walk away. When it becomes obvious that a poster is not willing to be open-minded and accepting of others' opinions, it is pointless to continue the discussion. Walking away also gives you time to calm down and get your emotions in check so that you do not post a comment you'll regret later.
A: While we do everything in our power to provide a safe environment, you have no way of truly knowing whom you are communicating with on most websites. Please use caution in sharing any personal information (we strongly discourage the sharing of personal email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, etc) with anyone you do not know and have not met. If you plan a meet-up or other gathering, please meet in a public place where other people will be present.
